Norwin LAX GOALS Norwin Lacrosse Club is a non-profit organization that was formed to develop and improve lacrosse skills for the youth of the North Huntingdon area. NLC strives to promote the benefits of teamwork, physical conditioning and the importance of good sportsmanship and fair play.

Registration - Teams are filling fast! US LAX membership required for all players ($30) Late fee begins on February 10 th ($35) Any late registrations will not be guaranteed a uniform for the 1 st two weeks of games (old uniforms will be given temporarily) - Registration closes on March 4 th

WE NEED ASSISTANT COACHES! - New coach training program Online courses through Google Classroom Drills and practice plans thru USLax Mobile Coach App Hands on training Club pays for clearances and certificates

Boys Allowable Contact This year’s point of emphasis: targeting of the head or a defenseless player is a 3 minute non-releasable penalty and ejection from game. 14 U: Player must have both hands on his crosse. Check must be delivered on player with ball or within 3 yards of ball. Any excessive body check where player lowers head or shoulder with force and intent to put other player on ground should be penalized. 8 U to 12 U: No body checking but some contact including boxing out and nonviolent pushing from front or side.

Norwin Lacrosse Club is a volunteer run organization - It takes a lot of work to run Norwin Lacrosse Club. As a result, we implemented a $25 volunteer fee per player this year. - Families are required to volunteer for 1 “spot” for each player. The volunteer fee will be refunded after completion of the volunteer requirement. - We NEED your help to run the club. There are over 200 volunteer spots available. Examples: Preseason volunteer opportunities to help with uniforms or organizing the team on photo day. Game day volunteer opportunities include announcer, gamebook keeper. - Sign up tonight @ the volunteer table. - Sign. Up Genius link will be sent out. PLEASE HELP!

NLC Scratch Off Ticket Fundraiser ● Each player will be required to sell “x” tickets ○ Each additional child - “x” tickets ● Buyout Option (check payable to Norwin Lacrosse Club) ○ $60 for First Child ○ Each additional child - $20 ● Amount of tickets per family will be determined by registration #’s ● Fundraiser Tickets will be distributed at Picture Night ● Buyout can be paid at Picture Night Participation is mandatory for all LAX families in order for your player (s) to practice and play games with the league.
