Achievement motivation Sports performers need a balance between intrinsic & extrinsic motivation. Too many extrinsic rewards (money, trophies, etc) can reduce a performer’s own intrinsic motivation (drive, passion , etc)

Need To Achieve NACH? Strive to be the best Will not stop until they have achieved what they want. Complete tasks/goals properly Seek independence Take the challenging route in what they do. Find it rewarding to be challenged

3. Concentration • What do you define as concentration? Give me some examples. . • Concentration. . . is the ability of a sports performer to process information and maintain focus • To process information, a sports performer has to make sense of the information they are presented with and decide on the course of action to take. If the performer becomes overloaded with information it can negatively affect their performance
