Distance vs. Displacement Distance – the path of length an object travels Meters (m) Displacement - distance and direction of an objects change in position from the starting to ending point Direction given – up, down, north, south, east, west, left, right 20 miles south, 4 yards to the left, 6 feet north

Velocity examples A motorist travels 406 km during a 7. 0 hr period. What was the average speed in km/hr The horse racing record for a 1. 50 mi. track is shared by two horses: Fiddle Isle, who ran the race in 143 s on March 21, 1970, and John Henry, who ran the same distance in an equal time on March 16, 1980. Domino Lab Question: what distance apart will result in a higher speed in dominoes?
Each group sets up 10 dominoes at 3 varying distances apart from each other. Measure the total distance/length of the dominoes. Push the dominoes over so they fall one at a time. The groups time how long it takes all the dominoes to fall. Conduct Record at least 3 trial for each domino all data in table calculate the speed of the dominoes at the different spacing's
