MECHANICAL EFFECTS Mechanical effects are usually done during live-action shooting. This includes the use of mechanized props, scenery, scale models, animatronics, pyrotechnics and atmospheric effects: creating physical wind, rain, fog, snow, clouds, etc. Mechanical effects are also often incorporated into set design and makeup. For example, a set may be built with break-away doors or walls to enhance a fight scene, or prosthetic makeup can be used to make an actor look like a non-human creature.

For me Stan Winston inspires me because he wasn’t afraid to try different career paths and didn’t give up after failing to find a job in acting. This helps me feel more comfortable to be open to different career paths. He was also very creative in his works which inspires me as I like creative things like Art and Filmmaking.
