PRINCIPLES RELATING TO SPATIAL PLAN METHODOLOGY • Demand drivers must be centralised, set at a Corporate Level and endorsed by CPC • Demand Scenarios must be centralised, set at a Corporate level and endorsed by CPC • Sectors must respond to these demand drivers in the hierarchy indicated. • Targets must be set for non-infrastructure responses • Infrastructures solutions must be the last resort and should be implemented using “green construction” approaches.
TYPICAL OUTPUT OF A CITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN • Should have a set of agreed outcomes across all stakeholders. i. e what do we collectively want to see/achieve in the futures • Each outcome should have targets for the short, medium and long term. • The outcomes should supported by a detailed & agreed action plan covering all stakeholders
