TOPS recipients have until the end of summer semester to earn the required 24 credit hours. Failure to do so suspends all future eligibility unless an extenuating circumstance applies. Must be continuously enrolled and full-time through the census date each semester. Check with the Scholarship office before dropping a class. BEGINNING FRESHMAN HONORS SCHOLARSHIP • The Beginning Freshman Scholarship is to be awarded to a student entering Southeastern as a beginning freshman. • Any beginning freshman student admitted with a 23 ACT composite and a minimum 3. 0 cumulative high school grade point average (on a 4. 0 scale) qualifies for a scholarship at Southeastern. • Housing supplement only available to students living on campus. • All scholarships are awarded for eight semesters. • The application for admissions serves as the application for scholarships. • Eligibility is based on full-time status. Retention Requirements: • The student must earn a MINIMUM 3. 0 SEMESTER & CUMULATIVE GPA • The student must be continuously enrolled full-time each semester (minimum 12 hours). • The student must attempt and pass no less than 24 hours per academic year. The academic year is defined as the combination of the Fall and Spring semesters.
