External Contractors: Contractors arriving at the facility to carry out service / maintenance visits MUST sign in at reception in the Contractors Log Book. The Duty Manager or Maintenance Technician will be responsible for meeting them to identify work scheduled to be carried out and then, escorting them to the appropriate area. The Contractor(s) should be made aware of other Contractors working within the building and the emergency evacuation procedures for the area that they are working within

As a support aim to prevent drownings an automatic drowning detection system is installed in the pool. The system tracks the movement of everyone in the pool and if it detects a bather in difficulty it will alert lifeguards on duty, who will then be able to respond.

All results recorded and remedial action taken if required in-line with guidance. As the pool uses hypochlorite, and assuming the p. H value is 7. 2, the free chlorine levels should be maintained at 1 mg/l or below, to an absolute minimum of 0. 5 mg/l. The combined chlorine levels should be less than half the free chlorine, and no more than 1 mg/l no matter what the level of free chlorine
