My Idea’s
Animation idea I decided to create a animation that starts off in a Cel shaded graphic style with a person on the phone. It then eventually turns into real life footage of a group conversation.
The effects I am going to use electrical pulses effects with a glow effect on it travelling down the telephone line. With some weird patterns in the background.
Sound The sound in the background of the animation is a ambient noise of a a business meeting.
Video I am going to record me and a few other members in my class making a conversation in a group.
An overview of my idea These are my current ideas
An explanation of how it meets the brief My idea meet the brief because it involves sound and the use of media like video and moving and still images. I also used the research from my audience research and the research I got on existing products as well, to give me a head start on my ideas.
An explanation of how it appeals to the audience, referring to your Overall, how would you rate visual, audio based audience research work? It appeals to the audience because it is eye catching and I think it gets their attention. By the simple design of the animation graphics. I also found out from my research is that 80 % of my audience were male so I will need it more male orientated. I also found out 57% of them liked comedy than action films etc. but 45% of them didn’t like comedy. This helped me decide to make it funny rather than serious. 25% of my audience said they use social media less than a few times a month as this the higher percentage I won’t put my work on social media. Exellent Very Good Fairly Good Mildly Good Not Good at All
An assessment of the value of the audience research I have gathered The majority of the people that completed my research were male and under 25. Most of the respondents like audio visual work. More people liked comedy than any other programme type. The majority of people that responded used social media regularly. looking at the results of the research, I will aim my animation at people like my self (male and under 25), I will try to make it funny and I will take into account that most people use social media on their phones, laptops etc. • The bad points of the research included some of my questions weren’t relevant to my product and only small amount of people responded. A bigger sample of people would of provided more help into my project. The good points were that I fond some information that was useful.
Who I have been influenced by The following list is the things that influenced me. • BBC News logo, graphics and sound • Galleryhip sound-waves – visuals for Longitudinal sound waves • Fremantle Media Kids and Family • You. Tube Abstract animations e. g. ‘Electric Sheep’ by • Simon Detheridge
BBC LOGO I have been influenced by this particular logo because as soon as you see the logo you knows it’s the bbc. You can tell it the bbc without having main bbc logo there. Because the globe sort of gives the feeling of news. It’s colours, contrast help it stand out. Also the way they have integrated 3 D with 2 D in the logo.
An assessment of the value of the contextual research you gathered I have found out there are multiple styles of graphics and animation out there like 2 D animations to 3 D animation and other different style like vector drawings, bitmap. That people all around the world that have made in and put on the internet for people to view. • BBC graphic are part of strong familiar identity across all their channels. • Gallery Hip present a visualization of a sound wave in colourful and original manner • Fremantle Media Kids and Family animated logo that has interesting movements and strong colour contrast. • Simon Detheridge animations because of the way he uses spirals that are being repeated.
