Requirements for Graduation English: 4 Credits Government: 0. 5 Credit Math: 4 Credits Science: 3 Credits (Must have Biology) Economics: 0. 5 Credit (Free Enterprise or 2 years of Marketing may substitute) Health: 0. 5 Credit CTE or Fine Arts: 1 Credit Physical Education: 0. 5 Credit Electives: 6 Credits World History: 1 Credit TOTAL CREDITS: 22 Am/AZ History: 1 Credit *The Biomedical Science Program counts as electives from this point on. Foreign Language: If you are attending an in -state university, you will need 2 credits.
Arizona Universities Requirements English: 4 Credits Math: 4 Credits (Algebra 1 -2, Geometry, Algebra 3 -4, and an advanced math class of which Algebra 3 -4 is the prerequisite). Science: 3 Credits of Lab Science (1 year from each of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics). Social Studies: 2 Credits (1 must be American History) Foreign Language: 2 Credits of the same language. Fine Arts or CTE: 1 Credit (out of state universities require a Fine Art).
Class Ranking The following designated courses will be used when calculating high school class rank: Freshmen: English, Math, & Science Sophomores: English, Math, Science, & Social Studies Juniors: English, Math, Science, & Social Studies Seniors: English, Math, Science, & Social Studies If students take more than 1 class in the designated area in the same semester, the highest grade will be used.
Class Registration Repeating Classes: Please see list of classes that are repeatable for credit. Student Athletes: If you plan to play sports in college for a D-I or D-II level school, please review requirements at the NCAA Eligibility Center at www. eligibilitycenter. org. Student Class Loads: Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors must be enrolled in 6 DVUSD credit classes which may include off-site CTE programs, DV Online, and West-MEC programs. During your senior year, you are required to have at least 4 classes. Grade Improvement: Students who wish to improve their grade in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, or World Language courses may repeat the same course. Please see your counselor if you wish to repeat a course.

Dual Credit Classes Students can earn high school credit and college credit through Rio Salado Community College. Cost: $86 per college credit (and registration fee). Check out www. aztransfer. com to see how your credits would transfer to ASU, U of A, and NAU. Attendance: Students cannot miss more than 6 days per semester.
Class Selection The last day to change course requests is March 12, 2021. Make sure your alternates are different than the electives you already chose. Please be mindful of your alternates because it is possible you could end up with them in your schedule. Please note, we will not make schedule changes after March 12 except for the following reasons: Computer Error Changes Needed to Meet Graduation Requirements Changes Required by Health Completion of an Approved Summer School, Community College, or Online Course.
