Dress Code JECA ADMINISTRATION HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY TO DETERMINE APPROPRIATENESS OF ATTIRE AND GROOMING

Dress Code JECA ADMINISTRATION HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY TO DETERMINE APPROPRIATENESS OF ATTIRE AND GROOMING EXPECTATIONS FOR THE SCHOOL SETTING. DRESS CODE VIOLATIONS MAY RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS. JECA Identification Card (ID) - must be visible around the neck area and worn at all times while on campus. Backpacks - are allowed. Students will not have lockers. Backpacks do not need to be mesh or clear and backpacks with wheels are allowed.

Shorts - are allowed. Shorts must be knee length or longer. Lycra, Leggings or

Shorts - are allowed. Shorts must be knee length or longer. Lycra, Leggings or Spandex shorts are not allowed. Gym shorts/ basketball shorts are allowed. Skirts - are allowed. Skirts or dresses must be knee length or longer. Lycra, Leggings or Spandex do not make the skirt longer – the length will still need to be knee length. Shirts/Blouses – long or short sleeved t-shirts are allowed. Prohibited shirts include tank-tops and mid-drift shirts. Universities and JISD t-shirts are highly encouraged. All tops MUST have finished edges. Clothing that is low cut (shows cleavage), including blouses, shirts, or dresses are NOT allowed. Shear tops may not be worn without a school appropriate undershirt. Clothing with pictures or words that say, insinuate or symbolize drugs, alcohol, gangs, death, sexual innuendo or affiliations are prohibited. Pants/Slacks/ Jeans -- are NOT allowed to be sagging or oversized. They should not be tattered or torn. Pants, slacks, and designer jeans that have holes above the knees are NOT allowed. Sweat pants are allowed, but must fit properly above the hips. Revealing or excessively tight garments such as leggings/tights are authorized to only be worn underneath an appropriate length dress, skirt or shorts (as noted above) Bandanas, flags, or gang related attire -- are NOT allowed in any way, fashion or form. Colors or any gang affiliation attire will result in disciplinary action as per the Judson ISD handbook.

Hats / Gloves / Hoodies – Hats and gloves are NOT allowed to be

Hats / Gloves / Hoodies – Hats and gloves are NOT allowed to be worn in all JECA buildings. Hoodies may NOT be worn with the hood up. A hat is anything you wear on your head; this includes but is not limited to: bandanas, knit hats, beanies, beret, slouchy hats, etc. Pajama wear -- are NOT allowed at any time. (Even during testing) Under garments - Appropriate undergarments must be worn at all times and must not be visible. Body Piercings & Tattoos - Tattoos that are inappropriate or are gang related must be covered at all times. Earrings may be worn in the ears only. Nose rings, lip rings, tongue piercing, or all other visible body piercings are prohibited. Footwear - The following footwear is prohibited: house slippers, slides, steeltoed shoes or boots, and shoes with wheels. Hair Color - Extreme hairstyles and / or coloring cannot be a distraction to the educational process. Please check your attire in the morning. You are an elite group of students and need to represent JECA appropriately. You will see college students in your classes that may not be dressed as per Judson ISD and JECA standards. If in doubt, do not wear it.
