FIRST ACCIDENT • Trapped under a burning car that crashed into her daycare center in 2003 • Causing her to experience a third degree burn to 85% of her body • Losing both feet, one hand her right ear in the process

SECOND ACCIDENT • Hit by a car when crossing the road, being pushed in a wheelchair • Thrown 18 meters away • Causing her to suffer brain bleeding/damage, heart attack, and severe injuries such as a broken jaw, fractured shoulder, and torn left lung • Lost sense of smell in the process

DIAGNOSIS • Diagnosed with brain injury because she has bleeding in her brain that may cause further complications later in her life

Impact of accident: • Lose sense of smell • A setback of her attention span • Lose ability to focus and gets distracted easily • Ability to grasp information decreased Based on the impacts of her accident, she has damage on her frontal lobe and parietal lobe. These 2 regions in the brain control a persons attention span the ability to focus. The sense of smell and ability to grasp information is controlled by the frontal lobe.

PROGNOSES • Aneurism; the weakening of swelled blood vessel walls around the brain • Brain hemorrhage; the bursting of blood vessels in the brain, causing internal bleeding in the brain that could lead to the death of brain cells

POSSIBLE IMPACT FOR FUTURE LIFE • Difficulty to complete tasks and face problems because her sense of focus and attention span is a lot less than before. • Easily distracted by surrounding environment, thus she cannot concentrate on her work

POSSIBLE TREATMENT • Install ventilator to monitor the brain and organs to make sure it gets enough oxygen supply • Once stable, doctors will make sure whether or not she needs brain surgery to treat the internal bleeding • Physical and speech therapy after recovering from surgery; she may still experience sensory issues, seizures and memory problems • After recovery, maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating well and being active
