Background • SONGS decommissioning core principles safety, stewardship, and engagement • Holtec ISFSI CDP unanimously approved by CCC in October 2015: – Existing AREVA ISFSI lacked capacity for all fuel – Expansion allows for continued safe storage of all spent fuel onsite in passively cooled dry casks – Placement in canisters is a precursor to offsite storage • Dry cask storage is proven, safe technology 8

DOE Concept Rail Car • Awarded $8. 63 million contract to AREVA Federal Services on August 2015 • For development of cask and buffer railcars • Design specifications will accommodate fully loaded SONGS transportation casks

Lawsuit Settlement & SCE Commitments • Lawsuit filed in November 2015 • Settlement Agreement was signed in August 2017 • SCE to use “commercially reasonable efforts” to relocate SONGS fuel to offsite storage facility • SCE’s commitments: – – – Retain experts team to advise SCE Prepare transportation plan and strategic plan Submit request to Palo Verde to store SONGS fuel Develop inspection/maintenance plan and contingency plan Provide progress reports 16

Inspection & Maintenance • NRC Aging Management Program (AMP) will be required for both ISFSI Systems – AREVA AMP will be part of license renewal in 2022 – Holtec AMP will be part of license renewal in 2035 • Holtec Inspection and Maintenance Program required per CDP Special Condition 7 by 10/6/2022 – Will include maintenance and monitoring techniques – SCE committed to earlier development of plan as part of Settlement 17
