Tracking Software: Kal. Test n Developed originally for GLD/Jupiter/Satellites and being used for TPC beam test u Kalman filter based track fitter: suitable for a detector with many measurement points and non-uniform mag. field n Work in progress to replace old Fortran-based ILD track fitter u New TPC track finder, CLUPATR, work with Kal. Test u Work in progress l Import Kaltest in IMarlin. Core software/GRID n “Improve a realism of simulator and reconstruction” : DBD u Mokka drivers and digitizers/reconstructions of Marlin reconsturctions n GRID : infrastructure for DBD and beyond u For data transfer from/to abroad + CPU resources u Software tools have been developed since LOI era, which could be used in DBD studies u A room to improve to make more user friendly Investigate a possibility to use DIRAC system n GRID hardware resources: u CE and SE only at KEKCC, UI at many places u Major upgrade of KEKCC : Next April. Special feature of GRID in Japan n Special feature u Almost all computer resources (CPU+Storage) are in KEK: l Weight: Local servers (LOI era) KEKCC servers (DBD era) u GRID WNs and SEs are only at KEK u GRID network is essential for data sharing with colleagues in abroad though performance so far is not ideal n R&D path u Improve user friendliness by DIRAC or another method u Popularize GRID u Resources: rely on KEKCC for Super. ILD software: relevant to us n ILD software status and plan : Talk by Frank, Tue. afternoon u “Improve realism of simulation model”: l “Faults and limitation” : Update VXD geometry and include services l Renew tracking for updated ILD model: Tracking u Define software baseline: l Main point: AHCAL vs SDHCAL l FPCCD may be used for VXD baseline l Study Si. Sci. ECAL option separately. n MC production for benchmark studies u Preparation of generator samples in progress. 1 Te. V parameter needs to be defined. A big topic at LCWS 2011 u MC production scheme needs to be worked out l DESY system, ILCDIRAC, KEK tools : share production ? How ?
