Sociology 100 -4 D: Intro. to Sociology. – 04/22/2020 – Course Status 1. • Virtual Lecture: • Discussion Forum: If unable to attend virtual lecture, log into the discussion board answer (briefly) the question for the week’s assigned chapter, e. g. this week Chapter 14 “Capitalism and the Economy” (Question posted morning April 20). • Video Assignment 6, distributed in virtual lecture Monday, 04/20/2020 (archived on Youtube playlist), see Slide 6. • Optional - Make sure to use “Digital Resources” for text You May Ask Yourself (Conley 2019) if it will help with “self-testing” comprehension of assigned chapters. • Virtual Lecture, after presentations (if any), use virtual lecture time to: • 1) Video Assignment 7: “The Age of Surveillance Capitalism. ” (See slide 7). • 2) Stay in Collaborate Space until 10: 30 to make sure attendance is captured. • 3) Prof. Erickson will be available to answer any questions during virtual lecture time. • Reading: • Try to have Chapter 14: “Capitalism and the Economy” read by Friday, April 24 th. • Presentations: • Presentations today at the beginning of class, after “Course Status” reviewed. • Presentation grades up to and including March 11 th sent out, contact me if you haven’t received your grade. • Presentation grades for this week sent out this afternoon, April 22 nd.

Sociology 100 -4 D: Intro. to Sociology. – 04/22/2020 – Course Status 2. • Paper Assignment 3: • All Paper Assignment 3 s returned by Monday, April 20 (except assignment 3’s turned in over last several days). • Contact me (Prof. Erickson) if you didn’t receive it. • Check both Morton College and Personal e-mails. • Upcoming Due Dates. • Paper Assignment 4 (Final Paper) Guidelines Distributed April 24. • Paper Assignment 4 (Final Paper) Due: Friday, May 8 @11: 59 pm. • Final Exam being revised for on-line (assuming “Lockdown/Stay at Home” emergency orders are still in effect) – Final Exam Review Guide Distributed Friday, April 24. • Final Exam will be during Final Exams Week, May 11 – May 15. • Final Grades are due May 18 @ 2 pm. • Computer/Tablet/Phone Check. • Update Software (e. g. Prof. Erickson this morning 05: 00 – 5: 30 – Windows 10 Updated, Kaspersky Anti.
