LOBBYING FOR LUCAN'S HERITAGE • Many protected structures and National Monuments are at risk of deliberate dereliction and neglect – Aderrig (NMS), Glenwood House (Fingal), KJB & St. Finian’s (SDCC) • https: //www. sdcc. ie/en/services/planning/heritage -and-conservation/protected-structures/ • Once they are gone they are lost forever • “Then and now” comparisons • Showing how other local authorities protect and promote heritage • Many structures already lost to time, in our power to help preserve what’s left HOW YOU CAN HELP Demonstrate a love of our heritage to politicians, businesses, SDCC, groups, friends and neighbours Local elections coming up in 2019; make it an issue on the doorstep Support our calls for clean-ups, restoration, enforcement of National Monuments Act Litter-pick, report issues to http: //fixmystreet. ie/ , photograph and record our monuments and heritage Help us with “Then and now”: photos needed!
