FARMING AND SURVIVING The Valley and Ridge Region’s soil is very rich for farming. Many of Georgia’s farmers live in this region of the state. • Georgia has 7 main rivers • The Chattahoochee is one the state’s largest rivers. • People in the Piedmont Region depend on the Chattahoochee river for many things.
