Section 1 Social media platforms changed the way we consume and understand information because there are lots of fake news around the internet to cause drama. People nowadays don’t care to recognize the newspaper, which has accurate news, while they only turn to their social media apps with lots of fake along real news. Since people have started to realize how much fake news is actually lurking around the web, people start to lose trust on any news that is reported. Many stories on social media can also be both true and false; news stories being modified.

Section 2 Value you get from online social interactions is to help make more relationships with people easily. It is also easier to make plans with your friends, because instead of walking to their house, you can just text them, It makes life a lot easier. Social media and social capital helps to form youth culture by helping young people living in state care maintain healthy and appropriate birth family relationships and friendships, make new connections and ease transitions between placements and into adult independence.

Section 3 I do see similarities between the world presented in the video, and the world we live in. In the elevator, the lady on the right is uninterested in the lady trying to strike a conversation, as the lady on the right is just looking at her phone. This happens now as well, when people look at their phones when being talked too. The main character gains and loses points depending on how the other people rate them. These points are important to her because it shows their general reputation. Social interactions changed in this world because people are not used to talking face to face, but are used to texting each other with social media.
