In the Group: 1. I have to listen and understand others – in a group, members show some form of relationship to each other for example by regularly meet and have activities together. However not enough. In the group I have to listen and understand the ideas and opinions of others. In the group everyone shares his ideas with others. Therefore it is important to hear and understand whatever others are saying and not just hear and disregard. To listen and understand well, there must be a good relationship and good communication between the other people in the group. © Mr. Anthony Borg
In the Group: 2. Decisions taken should be based on democratic principles – each member has the right to express their opinions and no leader or group member should never impose regulations or decisions on other members. © Mr. Anthony Borg
In the Group: 3. There must be good communication - there must be a clear dialogue through which each party must be given a chance to express their opinion and after an agreement is reached between all members. © Mr. Anthony Borg
In the group there needs to be flexibility, different communication skills, knowledge and positive attitude. The group helps its members to grow mentally. For example if we take the sport which requires a group to be played, this affects the lives of those who are members and hence makes them stronger. The majority of sports activites are social where people group friendships. © Mr. Anthony Borg together and make new
Sports, together with school, forms a complete education, and the person is much stronger physically, mentally and socially. Sports: • is a celebration of equality between human beings, • helps people to learn and respect authority, • increases motivation, because the game offers challenges and the preparation involved for it, • makes the person to be flexible, meaning that the players do what it takes to win the game or the purpose for which it is played, • builds confidence and increases independence, © Mr. Anthony Borg
Sports: • helps the individual to achieve the goal set in his/her life, • people to learn how to lose and win, • be positive even when you're losing, • builds relationships through different types of communication, example verbal and non-verbal, • Learn to work in a team, • Share with others what you know. © Mr. Anthony Borg
Conflicts between the Members of the Group In each group, as in everything else one can find good and bad things. This is due to the fact that groups are made up of human beings, and people everywhere can be good and sometimes less good. In the most realistic way we know that at one time or another conflicts could arise. It is therefore necessary that when a member or other does not agree with a decision we do not go on pushing our arguments and strengthening the conflicts that arise between us, we should try to reach a compromise. With a bit of patience, tolerance, participation and goodwill agreement could be reached and conflicts lessened. © Mr. Anthony Borg
