Health care • Refers to the diagnosis, treatment and management of disease and illness. • Geographical, cultural, financial and other social barriers may prevent a person’s access to health care. • Many conditions can be avoided as a result of regular checkups and early diagnosis. • Access to health care has a big impact on health status- life expectancy has increased, people are not dying from infectious diseases all due to medical advances.
