Gaming = $$$ • The video game market is expected to be worth over 90 billion USD by 2020 (78 bill in 2017) • 2. 5 billion video gamers from all over the world • DLC is now the true way that gaming companies are making money • You. Tube is leading the list among the sources for viewing gaming related content. (80% of teen gamers use it as a source)

Three Primary Sources for Gaming Mobile Device • Easier access for both the gamer and the company to the gamers data • Payments are attached to account through phone • Any mobile device backed on the cloud. Iphone, Droid, i. Pads, etc… • Social aspects of this are less involved due to device resource constraints Console • PS 4 (Play. Station), XBOX 1, Wii, Switch, Game Cast • Involves an annual account/purchase to play within consoles network (PSN) • Integrates with Social Media accounts and auto invites friends/notifies when on PC • Computers specifically built or designed for gaming and it’s heavy price • Steam and it’s amazingness • Discord integrates for social aspects

Three Primary Sources for Gaming Mobile Device • Children’s F 2 P mobile games made ~478 million USD in 2018. • Top 3 are Fortnite, Candy Crush, Pokemon Go! Console PC • PS 4 > Xbox One > Switch are the top selling systems (in that order) 100 mil Mark • Top 3 PC Games are Fortnite (2. 4 b), PUBG (1. 02 b), GTA V (628 mil) 2018 • Top 3 games are Wii Sports, Super Mario Bros (2018), Mario Kart • Minecraft, Worlds of Warcraft, The Sims for all time.

Minecraft…still!? • Contains very little violence, graphic or inappropriate content (no blood). Players can however hit or kill animals or each other in multiplayer mode, but this isn’t the main focus of the game. • Graphics are very cartoony. • MASSIVELY watched on Youtube by kids. • There are “mods” that are available. Most are harmless, but be advised of where they are downloaded and rated. • The Xander incident.

The three “C’s” of Privacy Clarity Consistency Control Do you understand what is happening with your data and in the intention of the game? Does the game/app maintain your trust? Do they do what they say? Do you have the ability to manipulate your data? Can you opt out? Can you shut off your account without any issues?
