Illinois SMP History • 1995: Illinois was 1 of 5 states in the federal

Illinois SMP History • 1995: Illinois was 1 of 5 states in the federal Operation Restore Trust demonstration project. • 1997: Illinois was 1 of 12 states with the first SMP demonstration project. • Today: SMP grants come from the Administration for Community Living (ACL), U. S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
