Prepare for the Test!!! • Cover Items on the Walls • Educational Posters • Student Work • Organize student Information • Logins on easy to hand out form • Go to DOE site and fill in the test security agreement • Prepare Class Activity (Math and ELA teachers)

DURING THE TEST!!! • • Walk around students Do not assist them Redirect if off task Unscheduled breaks less than 20 minutes Breaks • Give 10 min warning prior to break • Have students pause test • Teacher leaves session open (do not stop)

Students will verify the Info • After they have verified, you will also need to verify the information in the TIDE TA interface
AUDIO Check • If their audio is not working, please contact a tech person. • They will need audio for some of the tests. • This is where they can adjust the audio
Students will be able to start
As the Test Begins: • 45 -50 questions • Use the test for Info • Refer them back to the test
Tools Students Can Use • Expand Text (Remind them to scroll down all the way) • (i) for information about the question • Strikethrough answers (this can be used to cross through answers) • Zoom In/Out (Remind them not to play, but utilize to assist them) • Highlight Text • Flag Items for review • Calculator for certain part of the test (no external calculators can be used)
Pausing the Test • Warn students 10 minutes prior to breaks • If gone for 20 minutes (or idle) the computer will automatically log them out
Ending the test • When student is complete: • They should review flagged questions • Click end test
Scratch Paper: • Scratch Paper: Students may use scratch paper for all tests • Notes CANNOT be retained during the non-performance activity (destroy all notes) • Notes CANNOT be retailed from the classroom activity • Notes CAN be retained while a student is working on performance tasks, including part 1 and part 2 of the ELA performance task. Online notes will also save during performance tasks.
Dictionary • A physical English language dictionary may be used during Part 2 of the ELA performance task only.
At the End of Testing Time for Each Section…. If All Students Are Done: • Make sure all students have selected End Test • Then stop your session. If Not All Students Are Done: • Have them review the questions they’ve answered to ensure they are answered to their liking
