Mobility with Location Finding Facility • The addressing scheme should also carry the information of the exact geographical location of the device • Today’s Internet is location independent but it does not tell exactly in which geographical location the device is located • Seeing just an IP address, the exact location cannot be determined
Mobility with Location Finding Facility • Two points are combined and a complex scenario has been made – The device must be able to move freely anywhere with the same ID – But, the entire address must also tell others about where it is (exact geographical location). If needed, revealing the location can be blocked • In short the addressing scheme must have the following features – (a) Should be able to provide direct information about the exact geographical location of a device – (c) But the identity of the device must be the same in all locations so that it does not get a new ID in different locations – (b) This location revealing facility could be turned on/off based on requirement
