Problem Statement Diabetes prevalence has been rising more rapidly worldwide. Diabetes was the seventh leading cause of death in the United States. Diabetes is a major cause of blindness, kidney failure , heart attack & Limb Amputation. Statics shows that by the year 2040 , 10% of the world's population aged between 20 and 70 years will be diagnosed with diabetes. Cost associated with treatment of diabetic related complications are higher if not treated properly. 4 © 2016 WIPRO LTD | WWW. WIPRO. COM | CONFIDENTIAL

Idea & Uniqueness of the Solution • The idea is to provide a solution to treat diabetic patients with a simple Io. T Device which captures the blood sample and will note down the readings. • The readings are stored in the mobile phone and will be synced to the cloud via Wifi/Bluetooth and will be accessible both by the patient and as well as the doctor. Doctor can vary the medication based on the recorded blood sugar levels. • Uniqueness of the solution is • IOT based & Portable Glucometer • Store digital recordings on the cloud • Get Blood sugar level monitoring at ease and as well at their home , no need to visit the lab for Blood sugar test • Real time data synchronization between doctor and patients • Diabetes can be kept under control through constant supervision • Watson results can impact the following business areas a) Drug and pharmaceutical industries b) Research and development of diabetic drugs 5 © 2016 WIPRO LTD | WWW. Node-Red is a visual tool for wiring Io. T Devices together. IBM Io. T platform is connected To the IOT device over MQTT protocol. The diabetic readings are then sent over the Cloud and finally stored in Cloudant. DB. Also Twilio is the service which helps in generating alerts to Both patient and doctor. 10 © 2016 WIPRO LTD | WWW. WIPRO. COM | CONFIDENTIAL

Watson – Analytics Screenshots We have used Watson ( IBM Analytics) solution which will provide insights on the data ( i. e. Patient information, Blood sugar, Blood group, City , Age and Weight). The input to the Watson analytics is Dash DB ( SQL) data base. Dash DB will be synced with cloudant and we have to create an external connection between Dash. DB and Watson Analytics. 16 © 2016 WIPRO LTD | WWW. WIPRO. COM | CONFIDENTIAL

Io. T Starter App As we don't have the IOT diabetic device with us, we have simulated the same on Andorid app. The app will generate blood sugar readings and current location of the patient using Geocoder API. The blood sugar readings are synced directly to the IBM Bluemix cloud. 21 © 2016 WIPRO LTD | WWW. WIPRO. COM | CONFIDENTIAL
