Solutions: -Using smart traffic management system that regulate and improve traffic flow. Big data and IOT are parts of this system, IOT refers to smart connected devices like sensors, vehicle-mounted information systems, mobile phones, cameras, etc. These devices transfer the information through the internet to the central system for analysis. Big data analysts are responsible for analyzing this data, and using it to improve traffic management and flow. -Vehicle to vehicle communication technology communications comprises a wireless network where vehicles send messages to each other with information about what they’re doing. This data include speed, location, direction of travel, braking, and loss of stability. Vehicle-to-vehicle technology uses dedicated short-range communications (DSRC). 2 - Parking lots Problems definition: -There are not enough parking lots in downtown Seattle compare to the number of business offices and commercial centers. -Parking fees or fares are too expensive. -Not all office buildings and commercial centers have their own parking spaces, which increases the demand for the public parking.
Solutions: -Innovative smart parking system combined with the Internet of Things connectivity Through Installed Ultrasonic sensors which determine where empty parking spaces located. This IOT data transferred over a wireless connection to a cloud server. The parking lot data is collected analyzed in real-time to let the drivers know the spaces available. The drivers can reserve spaces in advance by using a mobile application that can make an electronic payment. -Future Commercial centers and business offices should include their private parking in their buildings. -Build automatic car parking system.
