How does it work ? Every student is given a smart Identity Card which will be an Active RFID Tag. It will be like a regular student ID Card. The RFID Readers are placed in the strategic locations in the school and in vehicles. The reader has the capability to communicate over internet either through GPRS or wired Ethernet and also has GPS capability to track the vehicles. PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL 5

When the student with Smart ID card comes nearer to the reader (less than 50 meters but configurable), then the reader reads the student tag. PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL 6

v Periodically the reader sends the student's tag information and GPS coordinate details (if the reader is placed in the vehicle) through GPRS or wired Ethernet to remote server. PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL 7
