Small Group Process 1. Brainstorm and write down “What are some issues students are facing at our school” 2. Identify 1 -2 issues from the discussion to discuss in the following steps. Write these issues on separate paper bags 3. Give each participant a piece of scratch paper and a pencil Remind students not to put their names on the paper (NO NAMES) 5. Have participants write their response to this question on the scratch paper: “How does the issue impact YOU or our campus? ” 6. Participants put their comments into the appropriate bags 7. A PLUS Leader reads all comments in the bag before discussion begins 8. Group Discussion: “What can STUDENTS do about this issue at our school? ” 9. PLUS Leader writes down student led solutions on a large piece of paper (or on the paper bag) 10. When you have at least 3 -5 solutions written down, select 1 -2 participants who would like to share out what your group came up with. (wait for further directions)
