Slideshow Project DOI: 10. 1682/JRRD. 2012. 0221 JSP • Aim – Examine construct validity

Slideshow Project DOI: 10. 1682/JRRD. 2012. 0221 JSP • Aim – Examine construct validity and construct responsiveness of Dutch version of Canadian Occupational Performance Measure performance scale (COPM-P) in chronic pain population. • Relevance – COPM-P has not yet been validated in Dutch pain population. This article and any supplementary material should be cited as follows: Nieuwenhuizen MG, de Groot S, Janssen TW, van der Maas LC, Beckerman H. Canadian Occupational Performance Measure performance scale: Validity and responsiveness in chronic pain. J Rehabil Res Dev. 2014; 51(5): 727– 46. http: //dx. doi. org/10. 1682/JRRD. 2012. 0221

Method Slideshow Project DOI: 10. 1682/JRRD. 2012. 0221 JSP • Subjects: – Newly admitted

Method Slideshow Project DOI: 10. 1682/JRRD. 2012. 0221 JSP • Subjects: – Newly admitted patients with chronic pain in outpatient rehabilitation clinic. • Measures at admission and 12 wk: – COPM-P, Pain Disability Index (PDI), and RAND 36 -Item Health Survey (RAND-36). • Construct validity: – Correlations between COPM-P, PDI, and RAND-36 at admission(n = 87). • Construct responsiveness: – Correlations between change scores at 12 wk (n = 57). This article and any supplementary material should be cited as follows: Nieuwenhuizen MG, de Groot S, Janssen TW, van der Maas LC, Beckerman H. Canadian Occupational Performance Measure performance scale: Validity and responsiveness in chronic pain. J Rehabil Res Dev. 2014; 51(5): 727– 46. http: //dx. doi. org/10. 1682/JRRD. 2012. 0221

Results Slideshow Project DOI: 10. 1682/JRRD. 2012. 0221 JSP • COPM-P did not significantly

Results Slideshow Project DOI: 10. 1682/JRRD. 2012. 0221 JSP • COPM-P did not significantly correlate with PDI or any RAND-36 subscale. • Only a moderate correlation was found between change scores of COPM-P and PDI. • Weak to moderate correlations were found between change scores of COPM-P and RAND-36. – Higher correlations for physical function, social functioning, and role limitations (physical) subscales. This article and any supplementary material should be cited as follows: Nieuwenhuizen MG, de Groot S, Janssen TW, van der Maas LC, Beckerman H. Conclusion Slideshow Project DOI: 10. 1682/JRRD. 2012. 0221 JSP • For inpatients with chronic

Conclusion Slideshow Project DOI: 10. 1682/JRRD. 2012. 0221 JSP • For inpatients with chronic pain attending rehabilitation program, COPM-P measures something different than RAND-36 or PDI. – Therefore, construct validity of COPM-P was not confirmed by our data. • We were not able to find support for COPM-P to detect changes in occupational performance.
