Our brain needs sleep. Our brains reset while we sleep. Sleep helps us stay focused during the daytime. * Without sleep, we can’t solve problems effectively. When we sleep, we cleanse our brains of toxins that build up during the waking period. We create and consolidate memories whilst we sleep. Creativity grows while we sleep. * (theconversation. com, 2017) WE NEED SLEEP!
OUR BODIES AND SLEEP • While we sleep, our heart rate decreases • Sleep causes our breathing rates to slow down • When we sleep, blood pressure lessens • Our bodies become cooler in temperature as well • We cannot move during REM sleep • We grow when we sleep (children and teenagers) • Our hunger hormones are structured during sleep • Muscles and tissue are repaired while we sleep • We basically just relax and restore during sleep This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SA
