LOGGING IN TO SKYWARD • The Skyward link is available in a number of locations on the Kent School District or school web pages as well as Frequently Used KSD Links and Staff Link • It can be also be accessed from http: //www. kent. k 12. wa. us/skyward • Your Login ID: is your standard KSD login id name johnsj 12345 e 5 characters from your last name, first character of your first name, your KSD employee number and the letter “e” • Your initial password is ksd 12345! where 12345 is your KSD employee number • You will be prompted to change your password on first login. PRINTING IN SKYWARD • Educator Access has a number of reports available for teachers including student information, class rosters, attendance and grading • Most reports have templates where you configure the information that you want to appear in the report • The report is sent to a the Print Queue where it goes through three states: Queued, Running and Completed • When the report is completed, it will produce either a pdf file or some reports can be exported to Excel • You can access your completed report from My Print Queue • You print a paper copy of the report from either Adobe Reader or Excel SUCCESSFULLY PREPARING ALL STUDENTS FOR THEIR FUTURES 12033 SE 256 TH STREET, KENT, WA 98030 | WWW. ATTENDANCE OPTIONS Attendance is taken from Educator Access – Teacher Access – Post Daily Attendance You can take attendance by name or by seating chart The seating chart option will display student pictures if they are available By default all students are present and you mark the ones that are absent or tardy If a student has been marked absent by the office, it will show up in your attendance roster and you cannot change it • When you save, it updates the student records in Skyward • An absence entered by a teacher will display with a W until it is updated by the attendance office to E for excused or U for unexcused. Student Indicators display if a student is Special Ed (S), English Language Learner (E), was at one time ELL (L) or 504 (5).
