Skype for Business Windows 7
Find your Skype client • On you main home and menu screen click on the Start icon and then “All Programs” you will find Skype for business 2016 application • Click on this Application and You can see the status of your contacts as to whether they are available or not. • Start a conversation by double clicking on the user you wish to chat to.
Add new and manage your contacts • Start typing the name of the person you would like to add here. • When you see the contact you would like to add, Right click with your mouse and add them to your favourites or the contact list you would like them in. • You can also drag and drop them in to a Group. • Create a new group by clicking here
Start a chat, Voice or Video call • Start writing in the text pane. • Click on this to add more people to the text chat conversation. • Click this to switch to a video call • Make the call Audio only with this icon • Share your desktop to the other attendees by clicking this • Click here for Skype for Business Help, add priority, text size and type.
Schedule a Skype Meeting • In your Office Calendar you will find the “New Skype Meeting” option in your header. • The Join Skype meeting link will populate in to your invite and the participants only have to click the link to join the meeting when the reminder pops up. • Add individuals as you would any other meeting using outlook. • When your meeting reminder pops up, simply click on the link.
