Skills Gap Identified: • Lack of practical real-life job experience • Lack of soft skills, communication, team work, project management, problem solving, presentation skills. • Lack of leadership skills 5
Industry Cluster-Skills Gap Task Force • Members of the Skills Gap Task Force outlined both short-term and longterm strategies to narrow the skills gap. • Conducting Resources Inventory to identify what resources can be applied to narrow the skills gap. Regional Clusters of Opportunity (overview of approach, range of clusters identified) B. Cluster Components including the Cluster Map C. Cluster Characteristics (size, growth, wages, concentration) D. Cluster Potential and Requirements (potential future for cluster and what is needed to get there) E. Collaborative Opportunities (potential areas for collaboration between cluster employers and economic and workforce development partners) 10

Refine and/or develop curriculum for the 2 -year Mid-Level Technicians by defining the curriculum adds, changes and/or deletes B. Define and pilot the certification and/or work readiness processes.
