CONNECTION LO 2 – 2. 1 • We would like you to find inspiration so you can begin to develop ideas for a collection of photos based on connection. Consider using portrait, urban/abstract or landscape photography. • We would like you to build an inspiration board to show the different sources you have used. • Also to include your review on photographers from the week 10 th September. • Remember, inspiration is not just from the internet.

JAMES BARTON • Theme – Landscape and Nature • I notice with James photography they are all outside. He does a lot of shots by the sea when the sunset comes up.

JAMES BALOG • Theme – Landscape and Nature • James Balog he is taking pictures of the ice melting because he wants to show people the affects of the global warming. He is using a time lapse camera to show people different places.

NICO GOODEN • Theme – Urban/Portrait • Nico is a street photographer in London. • I've looked though his pictures and noticed he tends to take shots in London and people. His pictures are either bright or black and white.

JEFF GILBERT Portrait Jeff Gilbert works in London has a editorial and commercial photographer he also does some portraits. I found with his portraits they are all people and close up.

CHEMA MADOZ • Abstract Chema Madoz is a Spanish photographer, His pictures are all black and white, The pictures he takes are portraits and of random things. His pictures are creative and symbolic.

STEVE MCCURRY Portrait Steve Mc. Curry is a photojournalist, His pictures all of faces. His pictures all colourful and people in different countries.

MATT SMITH Portrait Matt works in London as an editorial, commercial, and personal portrait photographer. Matt seems to do a lot of relationship pictures and animal pictures. Also he does a lot of close ups pictures. I found with his work here is a lot of variety.

COMPARE AND CONTRAST All the pictures are very different, Some of the pictures are colourful the others are plain. The portraits pictures are of people they tend to be close up.

Family is important to me because I spend a lot time with my family and they help me a lot. Love – This inspires me because it reminds me of me and my fiancé. Technology you’re never to young to use it. Two people connecting. Friendship- I think friendship is important. Connection between people. This picture reminds me how much I love my dog milo.

FINAL IDEA LO 3 3. 1 • What is your final idea? Relationships between people and animals. • Why have you chosen this? This is important to me. • What do you need to do achieve this? Family/friends/people/ camera • How are you going to create each photo? I'm going to do a mixture a pose and natural pictures. • For each photo we would like you to create a sketch for each, This will help you se your photo. A sketch does not need to be hands drawn, you might find an image on the internet that shows what you want to achieve.

PHOTOGRAPH • 1) The shot type is close up. The picture is of me and my fiancé I took this picture because it represents love. I took this picture by getting someone to do love heart shape with there hands around the picture then I took the picture of it. • 2) This portrait picture is of my grandparents holding a picture when they was younger. I took this picture because it is a connection around love. • 3) This picture is a portrait of my mum and dog it shows love between a human and a animal. • 4) The shot type is a close up of me and my fiancés hands it shows love between one another. • 5) This picture is of me and my best friend it shows the friendship between us. STRENGTHS & WEAKNESS 1) My picture of me and my fiancé in picture one I think it shows the love between two people, If I ever had to do this in another media project I would get more focus on the two people so its obvious who I'm taking a picture of. 2) My picture of my grandparents I think its good picture because it represents love between two people over so many years, I think in this picture it is close up and the light is good that’s went well, but next time I would position the camera in a better and use the rule of thirds. 3) My picture which I took of my mum and my dog i think the light in the background is good because you can see the picture well, Also its close up. Next time I would make my dog to look at me whilst I'm taking a picture by calling his name or getting my sister in the background to get his attention. 4) I think this picture and it needed more light in the corner of our hands because there is a shadow in our hands which is making in corner of our hands look darker. Next time if I had to take this picture again I would find a better position to take the picture from. About this picture I think the good thing is it represents love between two people 5) This picture is obvious what is it is two friends celebrating a party. There is not much background if I had to take the picture again I would move further out to take the picture so people know when they are looking at the picture where we are. One of my favourite things about this picture is good light. 6) In this picture it shows mother and daughter. When you look at the picture it is bright it stands out. If I had to do this picture again I would pick a better background to do it also I would change the angle in my picture because I have a reflection in my glasses 7) This picture is me and of my fiancé and shows love for one and other. I think the good points about this picture I've got some background and we are positioned well also its got levels of light, next time when I do this I will be using the rule of thirds to make my picture look even better. 8) This picture shows the different ages in peoples hands over the years even though there is know faces I still know what the picture is about. Next time when I take this picture I will make sure all the hands are in picture. 9) This picture shows there is a celebration for love between two people. If I took the picture again I would put me in and my fiancé in the picture so people know who's celebrating 10) This picture is of a mother and daughter its got good light in this when people look at this picture they can see them really clear. If I had to take this picture again I would make sure there is more background to make it look better.

WHY IS IT MY BEST PHOTO The reason I put this as number one is because it shows connection of love between me and my fiancé. Number two is my best friend and I. I really like this picture because we are laughing and having a good time. Number three is one of my favourite's because it shows different generations between younger and older people.

REVIEW LO 4 – 4. 1 • You need to collect four reviews of you photos • 1 – Family member / buddy Keely's favorite is number two because it shows love over time, She said next time I use different shots and use the rule of thirds also I could have been more creative. • 2 – Your tutor • Patrick reviewed over my pictures he said the quality of my pictures are good he said I could have had more of variety of shots. I asked Patrick what one was his favorite he said number for because its symbolic. • 3 – Someone you know • Jake liked number four he said he like the pictures because it shows connection between people I asked him what I could improve on my pictures he said no improvements needed. • 4 – Someone in your class you might not so well • I asked Alfie for his opinion on my pictures he said his favorite was number six because it shows family he said my improvement could have been do more long shot.

EVALUATION LO 4 – 4. 2 • What did you do? I took some pictures about connections. • What went well for you and why do you think it did? It went well because I completed the task and I know how to take a better picture. • What did not work as well and why do you think this? I wasn’t happy with all my photos I took because I think I could of done it better. • What would you improve on and why? I would take some more better pictures and different angles too so when I look back I have more options to go through. • What did you enjoy the most and why? I liked taking the pictures and experimenting on the rule of thirds. • What did you enjoy the least and why? It took a while to take all the pictures. • What have your learnt? I have now learnt during this task how to take a professional picture.
