Avian (Bird) Skeletal System ● Very unique ● Lightweight, thin, hollow bones ● Most skull bones elongate toward the front of the head. ● Some have skulls with an upper beak fused to it ● Other birds are hinged on both upper and lower (mandibles) giving it more flexibility
