Can We be Sinless? James 2: 3 - 3) For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well. 1 John 2: 1, 3 - 1) My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous… 3) By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments.
What are we Striving For? Romans 6: 12 -13 - Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

How Do We Keep From Sin? 1. Be Aware of Temptation.
Be Aware of Temptation • Mark 14: 38 – “Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. ” • 1 Peter 5: 8 – “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 8

The Path to Sin Enticement (Opportunit y) • James 1: 13 -15 – Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am tempted by God’; for God cannot be tempted by evil nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death. Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to play. ” • I Cor. 10: 12 -14 – Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
