A MATTER OF FAITH There are no similar Scriptures in the New Testament for Christians in worship to include a mechanical instrument or that say “play” an instrument. 2 Cor 5: 7 ~ For we walk by faith, not by sight. As a Christian, how can one “walk by faith” and use a mechanical instrument of music in worship?

PSALMS? Ps 150: 3 -4 ~ Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!

PSALMS? Authorized 2 Chron 29: 25 ~ And he stationed the Levites in the house of the Lord with cymbals, with stringed instruments, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, of Gad the king's seer, and of Nathan the prophet; for thus was the commandment of the Lord by His prophets.

PSALMS? OT Worship also included animal sacrifices, Jewish festival days, and the burning of incense. Psa. 66: 13; 81: 3, etc. The Book of Psalms was part of the Old Testament system. Luke 24: 44 ~ These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me. "

PSALMS? The Old Covenant - Temporary! 2 Cor. 3: 7, 8, 11 > passing away Heb. 8: 13 > “a new covenant” Gal. 3: 25 > “we are no longer under a tutor” There are 112 allusions from 97 different Psalms in the NT, but not once is instrumental music referenced.

PSALMS? The fact that God commanded something in the past does not mean that He approves its use now. Moses: Ex. 17: 5, 6; Num. 20: 7, 8 Priesthood: Heb. 7: 12 – For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.

Col 2: 23 ~ an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, … LIMITED BY SCRIPTURE 1 Cor 4: 6 ~ “… that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other. ” Limits 1 Peter 4: 11 ~ If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God.
