Problem: The machine to be studied has 2 -pole, 2 -phase, 75 hp, 440 volts, 60 Hz salient-pole synchronous machine with the following parameters: Assume prior to the torque disturbance the machine is operating at with the field current adjusted so that the steady-state excitation voltage is equal in magnitude to the source voltage. 2
