School Census 2020 Changes to Exclusions From January 2020 • exclusion data for the previous term will be collected • lunchtime exclusion data will no longer be collected • appeals against fixed term and permanent exclusions will also be collected Slide 5

Accounts Recievable Anonymisation of Debtors To assist schools in being GDPR compliant and to retain the integrity of the debtor details recorded in FMS, it is now possible to anonymise debtor details if they meet the following criteria: • The debtor has been inactive for the past six years and the current financial year. • The debtor has a zero account balance. • The debtor has been marked as discontinued. Making Tax Digital

New VAT Report Two new reports in FMS New VAT Full Report for Making Tax Digital (MTD) This report can run many times in a variety of outputs be output to various formats and multiple times. As running the VAT Submittal Report will close the period (and no further transactions can be added), you should run and check this report before running the Submittal Report. New VAT Submittal Report for Making Tax Digital (MTD) Running this report (which once again can be output in a variety of formats) closes the appropriate VAT period and can be run once only. Please note that this report does not replace or change the existing VAT Submittal report, which can still be used if you are not required to engage with the Making Tax Digital initiative. Slide 29
