Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, the little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head. The stars in the sky looked down where he lay, the little Lord Jesus asleep in the hay.

When I survey the wondrous cross, on which the Prince of glory died, my richest gain I count but loss, and pour contempt on all my pride.

See, from His head, His hands, His feet, sorrow and love flow mingled down. did e’er such love and sorrow meet, or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Were the whole realm of nature mine that were a present far too small; love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all.

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay close by me forever, and love me, I pray. Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care, and take us to heaven, to live with Thee there.
