Guess Who Shows Up? • • • He takes the precious babe in his arms. God had promised I can now depart. My eyes have seen your salvation For Gentiles and Jews alike

Simeon’s Predictions • Many will fall • When confronted with God Men choose kingdom or condemnation. • One can run to God • One can run away from God • Refuse Him or • Accept Him

Another Prediction Rising of Many • • • Man needs a hand let down to him Jesus lowers that hand He lifts man From old to new From sin to goodness From shame to glory

A Sign Spoken Against • • • He will meet much opposition There is no neutrality Surrender to Him or War against Him Surrender leads to victory. Opposition leads to condemnation

A Sword Will Pierce Your Soul • She will see her son rejected. • She will stand at the foot of the cross. • Her heart will be broken

Lessons No matter how old you are you still need to be faithful. No matter how old you are you can be faithful. God offers, then it is up to us. We are either for him or against him. Bad news is not easy to take but real and sure. The coming of Jesus into the world changes everything.
