Side Effect Information Sheet - BRAJDC SIDE EFFECT CAUSED BY HOW TO MANAGE IT When to Call Docetaxel, Cyclophosphamide Anti-nausea drugs: • Dexamethasone • Ondansetron • Prochlorazine plus eat small amounts of food every couple of hours, drink lots of water If you have fever – 380 for more than 2 hrs – go to ER if you can’t get to your doctor Ondansetron, Dexamethasone Drink lots of water, prune juice, stool softeners, high fiber foods No bowel movement in 3 days Docetaxel Drink lots of water, avoid high fiber foods, OTC drugs like Imodium If you have fever – 380 for more than 2 hrs – go to ER if you can’t get to your doctor Heartburn Dexamethasone Eat small amounts of food regularly, take drugs with food, eat bland foods, drink lots of water, Tums – but not within two hours of taking Dexamethasone If you are eating Tums like candy Keeps you awake Dexamethasone Nausea Constipation Diarrhea Fatigue Neuropathy Hair Loss Docetaxel, Cyclophosphamide
