Who is Caitanya Mahaprabhu? • He is Krishna in the mood of Radha Rani • He brought many associates with him • Distributed Krishna Prema and the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra in this Kali Yuga

Caitanya Mahaprabhu • In a very young age, Caitanya Mahaprabhu took Sanyasa. • His wife Vishnu Priya Devi is the embodiment of Prema Bhakti.

Caitanya Mahaprabhu goes to Puri • He visited Lord Jagannath everyday and saw Lord as Vrajendra Nandana • Had many associates • Some are Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya, Nityananda Prabhu, Svaroop Damodara, Gadadara Pandit, Raya Ramananda, Haridas Thakura. . .

Haridas Thakur • Born in Muslim family • He chanted 300, 000 names, approximately 180 rounds in a day • Mahaprabhu named him Namacharya because of this reason.

Haridas Thakur • He always followed Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s instructions. • The Sikshastakam shloka: Trinadapi Sunicena Taror Api Sahishnuna Amanina Mana Dena Kirtaniya Sada Hari

Trinadapi Sunicena • Trinadapi Sunicena-thinking oneself lower than a blade of grass • He thought himself lower than any other vaishnavas and always respected others.

Tarorapi Sahishnuna • • Tarorapi Sahishnuna-tolerant like a tree Just like a tree we have to be tolerant to chant Haridas Thakur was beaten in 22 marketplaces He asked the Lord to forgive the people who were beating him

Amanina Mana Dena • Amanina Mana Dena-not expecting any respect but always giving respect to others • Haridas Thakur always waited outside when Mahaprabhu was taking prasadam

Kirtaniya Sada Hari • • Kirtaniya Sada Hari-Always chanting names of Lord Haridas Thakur chanted day and night He only slept for one and half hours Even Durga Devi came to test Haridas Thakur and took initiation from him

Hari Haraya Namaha hari haraye namaḥ kṛṣṇa yādavāya namaḥ yādavāya mādhavāya keśavāya namaḥ gopāla govinda rāma śrī-madhusūdana giridhārī gopīnātha madana-mohana śrī-caitanya-nityānanda śrī-advaita-sītā hari guru vaiṣṇaba bhāgavata gītā śrī-rūpa sanātana bhaṭṭa-raghunātha śrī-jīva gopāla-bhaṭṭa dāsa-raghunātha ei chay gosāir kori caraṇa vandan jāhā hoite bighna-nāś abhīṣṭa-pūraṇ ānande bolo hari bhaja bṛndāban śrī-guru-vaiṣṇaba-pade majāiyā man śrī-guru-vaiṣṇaba-padma kori āśa nāma-sańkīrtana kohe narottama dāsa

Do we have these qualities? • Being humble • Tolerant(not getting angry for small reasons) • Giving respect to others and not expecting any respect in return • Always chanting the names of the Lord Hari with devotion • Being proud and always wanting fame • Getting angry and fighting for small things • Always expecting respect & recognition • Sometimes chanting and gossiping

Our Goal • The qualities required for chanting will come by surrendering to Sad Guru and Vaishnavas • Without Guru, Vaishnavas, Pancha-tattva and Shri Caitanya Mahaprabhu we cannot attain the lotus feet of Shri Radha Krishna
