Show Me Book Club The Show Me Book
Show Me Book Club
The Show Me Book Club is for students from Missouri in grades 1 -3. Students are expected to read 10 picture books from a nominee list by March and then vote on their favorite book.
A list of 10 picture books is created by a special Show Me Committee made up of librarians, teachers, and students. The books they pick have to be published in the last 2 years and written and illustrated by American Citizens.
After all of the votes are counted, the Show Me Readers Award is given to the author and illustrator of the winning book.
At Rose Acres, the Show Me books are kept on the counter by the window in the picture book area.
• To join the club students must sign up on a Show Me Reader card. It is a free book club!! • Every time a student reads one of the books on the card he/she must ask to have their card hole punched. • A small treat and certificate will be given for reading all 10 books.
