Interview with Olof van der Linden: What does Turkey add to the EU? I

Interview with Olof van der Linden: What does Turkey add to the EU? I think that Turkey adds a moral value to the EU. When Turkey gets accession to the EU the people who live in multicultural societies might get more respect for Turkish people. This is because when Turkey enters the EU probably more and more people emigrate from Turkey and get confrontated with people who look with a western persperctive. What are, according to you, the advantages if Turkey would join the EU? I don’t think really there any good advantages except for the one given in question 1. What are, according to you, the disadvantages if Turkey would join the EU? Cheap labor forces from Turkey will take over the labor market. This causes Western people to lose their jobs, unemployment increases and there goes the prosperity of the EU! What counts the most for you? The negative or positive sides of the adhesion of Turkey? The negative sides. Do you want a referdum about the adhesion of Turkey? Or do you think that this is a descision of the politicians? A referendum, because after all, the politicians don’t have to deal with all the people immigrating in our country, but we have to face them in real life!

Interview with Olof van der Linden: Do you think that the Turkish people have to pay the same amount of money to the EU as we do? Yes, everybody is equal, no exceptions are made, they shall have to be treated equal when they’ve got permission to enter the EU. Or should this be more or less? Please explain why. It should be equal. Should that be any changes if you look at the caution of Turkey before they may join the EU? Yes, the death penalty should be banished. This is against the human rights of the EU. Next to this Turkey should acknowledge the Kurdish language and the Armenian genocide. Turkey has a lot of work to do before they may join the EU, for example they have to acknowledge the Kurdisch language and they have to make a economical growth. Wouldn’t it be better if Turkey just waited for a couple of years in order to adhere to the EU? Yes. Explain your answer from the previous question. If Turkey joins the EU right now, the EU will be stuck with all the problems, this isn’t good for us. Because each subsidy from the EU has to be paid from our taxes. So the taxes will probably rise. What do you think that Turkey has to change, if you look at the democracy, in order to adhere to the EU? Well they’ll have to change in a way of freedom of speech. There is no freedom of speech in the EU, though this is a very important human right that all the people in the EU have.

Interview with Tim Gosen: What does Turkey add to the EU? More cheap workers, and a new economic/trade market. What are, according to you, the advantages if Turkey would join the EU? Our economical and social knowledge would expand, because we have more to learn from and we would have an other country benefit from our wealth so it will grow economically, which will benefit us later. What are, according to you, the disadvantages if Turkey would join the EU? More people would come to our country because they are allowed to if the join the EU, which would be a big disadvantage for our and their country What counts the most for you? The negative or positive sides of the adhesion of Turkey? Negative Do you want a referdum about the adhesion of Turkey? Or do you think that this is a descision of the politicians? I would defiantly want a referendum. I think my country would suffer if more Turkeys came in. They are a shame for our society and would just exploit us instead of helping our country. I would not benefit our segregation problem. Furthermore, good people would leave their country, which will make their own country’s market weaker and that will be a big disadvantage for them. Do you think that the Turkish people have to pay the same amount of money to the EU as we do? No, simply because they can’t effort it

Interview with Tim Gosen: Or should this be more or less? Please explain why.

Interview with Tim Gosen: Or should this be more or less? Please explain why. It should be more, to prevent them from joining Should that be any changes if you look at the caution of Turkey before they may join the EU? Turkey has a lot of work to do before they may join the EU, for example they have to acknowledge the Kurdisch language and they have to make a economical growth. Wouldn’t it be better if Turkey just waited for a couple of years in order to adhere to the EU? No, they just shouldn’t adhere at all, never. Explain your answer from the previous question. I think Turkey doesn’t fit in the EU, they have a completely different style of life. They just don’t match with us. What do you think that Turkey has to change, if you look at the democracy, in order to adhere to the EU? Don’t acknowledge the Islam any more, to set a good example for the rest of the EU.

Interview with Dylan Panday: What does Turkey add to the EU? I think Turkey

Interview with Dylan Panday: What does Turkey add to the EU? I think Turkey adds another nation to depend on to the EU. Turkey is not a very thriving country at the moment but with the support of the EU in the future it could be a thriving country. What are, according to you, the advantages if Turkey would join the EU? Personally, I wouldn’t have any difficulties with Turkey joining the European Union. What are, according to you, the disadvantages if Turkey would join the EU? The difficulties of Turkey joining the EU are that Turkey isn’t a wealthy and thriving country and it may not have anything to add in the beginning, for the European Country. What counts the most for you? The negative or positive sides of the adhesion of Turkey? The negative sides, because when a country joins the EU, it needs to have a lot of advantages FOR the EU and not against. Turkey is not a country that has a lot to add to the EU because it is not wealthy and it has its own problems like poverty in some parts of the country. Do you want a referdum about the adhesion of Turkey? Or do you think that this is a descision of the politicians? I think a referdum, because I think the people have to decide what they want.

Interview with Dylan Panday: Explain your answer from the previous question. I think the

Interview with Dylan Panday: Explain your answer from the previous question. I think the politicians are smart enough to decide that Turkey has nothing to add for the EU and only tries to make benefit of it for themselves. Do you think that the Turkish people have to pay the same amount of money to the EU as we do? Yes, or ells it wouldn’t be fair. Or should this be more or less? Please explain why. They should pay a bit less, because some people do not have as much money as we do. Should that be any changes if you look at the caution of Turkey before they may join the EU? No, I think that they shouldn’t change anything to join the EU. Turkey has a lot of work to do before they may join the EU, for example they have to acknowledge the Kurdisch language and they have to make a economical growth. Wouldn’t it be better if Turkey just waited for a couple of years in order to adhere to the EU? Yes Explain your answer from the previous question. Turkey tries to make benefit of the EU by joining it, and hope that the economy gets better, but that is wrong. What do you think that Turkey has to change, if you look at the democracy, in order to adhere to the EU? They should create more job opportunities and get more people to work, in order to get the economy a bit better.

Interview with Sofia Giostrelli: What does Turkey add to the EU? I think Turkey

Interview with Sofia Giostrelli: What does Turkey add to the EU? I think Turkey adds another nation to depend on to the EU. Turkey is not a very thriving country at the moment but with the support of the EU in the future it could be a thriving country. What are, according to you, the advantages if Turkey would join the EU? That Turkey will get richer. What are, according to you, the disadvantages if Turkey would join the EU? I think that if Turkey would join the EU there might be different debates about the different type of religions and belief that we have. Turkey might have many different views and there might be problems. What counts the most for you? The negative or positive sides of the adhesion of Turkey? Well, I think both because anyhow there are going to be both positive and negatives sides of the adhesion of Turkey so we might as well just deal with them. Do you want a referdum about the adhesion of Turkey? Or do you think that this is a descision of the politicians? I think everybody should have their opinion about it and that everybody should be able to say their opinion and make it count.

Interview with Sofia Giostrelli: Explain your answer from the previous question. If Turkey will

Interview with Sofia Giostrelli: Explain your answer from the previous question. If Turkey will be added in the EU just by politicians and politics then, it is all purely business that they want to deal with and it wouldn’t be so fair, if people would also be able to say their opinion about it then it would also be more of a social aspect too. Do you think that the Turkish people have to pay the same amount of money to the EU as we do? Well, if they will join, ofcourse they should. Or should this be more or less? Please explain why. The same or it wouldn’t be fair. Should that be any changes if you look at the caution of Turkey before they may join the EU? Yes, the civil rights should be stricted and obeyed. Turkey has a lot of work to do before they may join the EU, for example they have to acknowledge the Kurdisch language and they have to make a economical growth. Wouldn’t it be better if Turkey just waited for a couple of years in order to adhere to the EU? Yes and no. Explain your answer from the previous question. Well I don’t see why Turkish people should learn Kurdish, just because there a lot of Kurdish people? ! Well then they should learn every other language like Dutch and Italian because there a lot of Italian and Dutch people, I don’t think it makes much sense. Making the economical growth is necessary for Turkey and by waiting a few more years they would grow, but in another way, if Turkey would join the EU they could get some help from other countries of the EU to make them grow, so they could have a collaboration. What do you think that Turkey has to change, if you look at the democracy, in order to adhere to the EU? The civil rights policy.

My opinion: What does Turkey add to the EU? I think Turkey adds another

My opinion: What does Turkey add to the EU? I think Turkey adds another nation to depend on to the EU. Turkey is not a very thriving country at the moment but with the support of the EU in the future it could be a thriving country. But I think it is better to look how the EU could help Turkey in economic but also political way. What are, according to you, the advantages if Turkey would join the EU? As I explained in question one, Turkey is at the moment not a rich country eventhought, it has a blooming tourist business. But if you invest in Turkey I think that Turkey could be a rich country. What are, according to you, the disadvantages if Turkey would join the EU? That the EU will be crowded with cheap workers, and a lot of immigrants to the western Europese countries. What counts the most for you? The negative or positive sides of the adhesion of Turkey? I think the positive because it will mean that EU would also grow and Turkey could be helped aswell. Do you want a referdum about the adhesion of Turkey? Or do you think that this is a descision of the politicians? I think it is a desicion of the politicians because they would know better if the Eu should join or not, and I think a lot of people would only look at the disadvantadges.

My Opinion: Do you think that the Turkish people have to pay the same

My Opinion: Do you think that the Turkish people have to pay the same amount of money to the EU as we do? Yes, if Turkey would join the EU the would have to pay the same amount of money. This because it would n’t be fair for the rest of Europe. Or should this be more or less? Please explain why. The same amount as I said in the question above, it wouldn’t be fair for Turkey or the rest of Europe if they paid more or less. Should that be any changes if you look at the caution of Turkey before they may join the EU? I think Turkey should give all the people of their country the right of people, that means that the people they torture should not be tortured because they have the same rights as all the other people. Turkey has a lot of work to do before they may join the EU, for example they have to acknowledge the Kurdisch language and they have to make a economical growth. Wouldn’t it be better if Turkey just waited for a couple of years in order to adhere to the EU? I think if Turkey wants to join the EU they would have to change these things right now, because then it shows the rest of Europe that Turkey is willing to accept changes in order to join the EU. What do you think that Turkey has to change, if you look at the democracy, in order to adhere to the EU? As i said before the civil rights and i think that they should have economical growth aswell.
