Introduction • This exercise is targeted for preschoolers. • The child will be able to recognize and say the shape. At the end of the exercise the child will take a quiz to measure their performance. • Content standards are: – Reading Applications: Use pictures and illustrations to aid comprehension. – Characteristics and Properties: Identify, name, create and describe common two-dimensional shapes in the environment and play situations. (e. g. , circles, triangles, rectangles and squares, etc. )
Directions for Lesson Child will be able to click on the arrows at bottom corners to navigate forward or backward. Each forward or backward arrow has the same sound. Make sure the volume is turned up enough so the sound effects can be heard clearly. The child will click the lower right arrow to move forward, and the lower left arrow to go back to the previous slide. As the child moves to each slide, they will hear the correct way to say the shape word two times.
