Back Ground Information � Spring Branch Elementary is in the Mid- Northwest Region of Harris County, Texas. It is one of 26 elementary schools in Spring Branch ISD. � It is bordered by Clay Road, US Hwy 290, Beltway 8 and I-10 in Houston, Texas. � Approximately 582 students
Current Administration Team � Anita Lundvall – Principal � Anita has been a teacher, assistant principal and principal in Houston ISD. She has 17 years experience as an assistant principal and principal, and taught eight years at Lantrip Elementary, also in HISD. She’s also worked part time at Houston A+ Challenge, NCI-Ripley House and at the Universidad Casa Grande in Ecuador. � Anita earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary/early childhood education, then a master’s degree in administration at the University of Houston. She also earned a bilingual certification from the University of St. Thomas. � In 2009, she was the recipient of a Raise Your Hand Scholarship to attend Harvard University. In 2010, she received Bank of America’s Good Neighbor Award.

Spring Branch Elementary Smart Goal # 1 � Reading: By the end of the 2012 -2013 school year the overall average on the STAAR Reading test will increase by 10% for students in the 3 rd, 4 th, and 5 th Grades
Spring Branch Elementary Smart Goal # 2 � Reading: By the end of the 2012 -2013 school year, the school will increase the DRA/EDL passing level by 10% for all students in Kindergarten through 5 th grade
Spring Branch Elementary Smart Goal # 3 � Math: By the end of the 2012 -2013 school year, the overall average on the STAAR Math test will increase by 10% for students in the 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th Grades.
Spring Branch Elementary Smart Goal # 4 � Discipline: By the end of the 2012 -2013 school year, our overall office referrals will decrease by 20% in all grade levels.
