SHADOWING A PERSONAL TRAINER BY: LADARRIUS DANIELS
MY EXPERIENCE • Of course being in Fort Worth, Texas my job which is the Ryan Family YMCA I would start my day around 8: 00 am in the morning. • The first thing I learned in Personal Training is to always look at your schedule for your list of clients that are coming in for the day. • Also we would set up all equipment and work-out stations to be used for the day.
SHADOWS • As I watched my successor clients would come in and I immediately noticed the first thing that they would do would be to going over their plans and workouts for the workout sessions. • Next, the trainer would stretch her clients our to get their body warmed up and to get their blood circulating for the rigorous workout later. • Then after stretching they would begin working out, as the workout are going I witnessed my shadow trainer communicate and encourage her clients as well as to keep pushing through the workout. I can actually attest to the fact that I have seen how a personal trainer is suppose to train. • After working out, my successor would tell her clients to drink ample amounts of water and they would then proceed to go over a meal plan to follow. • There were even new clients that my successor has never seen before and she would let me create them a meal plan, help create a workout plan and she even let me workout the new clients for experience.
