Please note the coloring if you do it will be last. What you are

Please note the coloring if you do it will be last. What you are to do is show highlights in the center section of the tubes and dark shadows as they meet at the edges. One more thing, you are to use three shading techniques with this project. Select a section of tubes and do stippling. Select another section and do cross hatching or hatching. And, select another section for pencil pressure. What I am looking for is your ability to create several values using each shading technique and not mixing the techniques. Each technique will have its own section within the drawing. I have a sample of an animal drawing to show they are separate. Just DO NOT MIX your methods. I want a distinct difference between shading techniques. This lesson has two projects, the sphere and this abstract. You may add to the abstract design some of your own ideas, but keep it limited to mostly the tube like forms. Slide 11 is an example of being more creative. Adding to it is not required and will not affect your grade. I am just allowing it for students who wish to add; also in the end you may fill in lightly a little color using colored pencils. But for the most part this will be in graphite pencil.
