What’s so hard about ministry? G 94 percent feel pressured to have an ideal family. G 90 percent work more than 46 hours per week. G 81 percent say there is insufficient time with their spouse. G 80 percent believe that pastoral ministry affects their family negatively. G 70 percent do not have someone they consider a close friend. 4

G 70 percent have lower self-esteem than when they entered the ministry. G 53 percent have difficulty raising their children. G 50 percent feel unable to meet the needs of the job. G 46 Percent indicate sexual problems within their marriage. G 37 percent confess having been involved in inappropriate sexual behavior with someone in the church. 5
