Gender Discrimination- arbitrary denial of the privileges and rewards of society to members of a particular group. Tips for a non gender biased classroom: -use of gender biased hidden curriculum leads to inequitable education
Title IX Legislation passed by Congress in 1972 to provide females equal access to all aspects of education, including the curriculum and athletics. All courses/programs/athletics open to students regardless of gender.
Sexual Harassment Unwanted and unwelcome sexual behavior that includes verbal, visual, or physical abuse that interferes with the victim’s normal life. Sexual Harassment occurs in the halls and classrooms of schools, often while other students watch.
